Yesterday I was drinking something with a good friend on a place in Belgrade with a nice view over the Sava River, which forms the border between the Balkans and central Europe. It was here where the First World started ( read here), it was the border between Austria-Hungary and Serbia. Spring arrived late this year (2 weeks ago I was standing in the snow on the mountains of Montenegro), but now it is really in full swing. While Thursday it was winter yesterday it was almost full summer, bypassing spring.
